In Zack Greinke, the Kansas City Royals boast not merely one of the top young pitchers in baseball, but one of the top current pitchers of any age. In Chris Tillman, the Baltimore Orioles hope they have another young arm with the ability to achieve that status.

Mired in the longest losing stretch of his career, Harang (5-11, 4.25 ERA) hasn’t won since beating Houston on May 25 and is tied for the major league lead in losses.

The right-hander, who’s 0-7 with a 5.17 ERA in his last 11 starts, hit his first career homer, but also gave up four runs and nine hits in six innings of an 8-5 loss to the Chicago Cubs on Friday.

“I’ve been working on that for quite a while and it finally happened,” Harang said of the home run.

Harang, who’s 11-28 in 2008 and 2009 after going 32-17 the previous two seasons, is 3-3 with a 3.79 ERA in eight starts versus the Padres. He allowed five runs while striking out six in 6 1-3 innings of a 5-3 loss at San Diego on May 15.

Harang is an experienced pitcher, look for him to bounce back against a san diego team that is much more depleated then it was before.

we never been a big fan of the Run-Line but I think the game today has potential. For starters, the underdog price is appealing and the line at 5dimes has lots of value. You have Braden who comes off one of his worst starts of his career. He got absolutely rocked at home by the Angels in his last start as he gave up his worst numbers of the season as it relates to hits and runs - 10 and 6. He looks to bounce-back at home against the Twins and he faces Swarazak, who has not had much luck with the A's thus far. Swarazak in his limited stint with the A's gave up 3 runs in less than 4 innings of work earlier this season against Oakland. In fact, the only reason he is starting this game is that Kevin Slowey is taking a bit longer to come back from his wrist injury. I look for Braden to bounce-back.

Detroit has won 11 of the last 12 home games vs. left-handed starting pitchers and they have also won 15 of the last 21 games vs. AL West Division Opponents. Rick Porcello is pitching very well lately. he has won 4 of the last 5 games as a home favorite of -110 or higher and he is also 1-0 vs. Seattle over his career with an ERA of 1.29. Seattle has lost 10 of the last 15 games when playing on a Tuesday and Garrett Olson has lost 14 of the last 18 games as an underdog of +125 to +175.

this line is bad In fact, this line is actually valued as it should be around -200 in favor of the braves. the public has fallen onathan Sanchez, the same guy that no-hit the Padres last week. The same Jonathan Sanchez that is a career 16-26, 5.07 pitcher. And tonight he's pitching on the opposite side of the country, out of his usual comfort zone on the road, where he's 0-7 with a 6.27 ERA this season.

Tommy Hanson has been sensational since his June 7 call-up. Hanson has flourished in the Braves rotation and has an added edge at Turner Field, where his WHIP drops all the way down to 1.15, his strikeouts rise and his opponents' batting average plummets.

Braves actually score when Hanson toes the mound as Atlanta's offense has plated 37 runs in his 7 starts this season. Sanchez is extremely overhyped in this spot and with the way the Atlanta bats broke out last night, I find great value in this Play.

The Rockies are looking to advantage of a favorable post all-star game schedule as they open a series at home against the Diamondbacks.

Colorado took three out of four against the Padres this weekend and they’ll look to continue their winning ways against a struggling Arizona team that just traded its top hitter.

It’s doubtful the Rock’s will take the D-Backs lightly. Since June 4, Colorado is 30-10 at home however two of the losses came to Arizona. While the Rockies enjoyed their stay in San Diego, the Snakes lost two out of three in St. Louis and traded Felipe Lopez (.301 average) to Milwaukee for a pair of minor leaguers.

The Diamondbacks’ .247 team batting average this season is second-worst in the NL behind San Diego’s .232
